George Bailey is from a world where Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Doctor Who and pretty much any franchise you can think of exists as a fictional property. There are constant references to these things in canon, not necessarily always from George, but he's best friends with a sci-fi nerd so a lot of that has leeched into his brain.

While George is not AS likely to make these references aloud, I'd still like to lay it out there that more than likely George knows about your character's franchise. Comic Books, movies, and television especially. However, there is a catch. For him, the world ended in 2009, so anything created after summer 2009 is probably not something he's going to recognize.

I can also work around this if need be and will personally respect any wish to not have your character blind-sided by this knowledge.

I realize a lot of people have not read this series. So, if you get interested and would prefer not to have aspects spoiled...let me know.

Triggers: None.
Fourth-walling: I am an equal opportunity fourth waller. If you think Ex-Heroes should be something to throw back at George...go for it. He already thinks his life is pretty insane given that he's a superhero who fights zombies on a daily basis.
Romantic/Sexual Relations: Doubtful, he's in a pretty serious relationship with Karen.
Injure/Kill: Extremely difficult given his powers. He's invulnerable and super strong. However, it's not IMPOSSIBLE. He's been "bitten" twice by a demon-like creature and a fight against a Super-Soldier left him bruised. We'll just need to discuss power levels.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: George is not immune to mental attacks however. He has a strong will, as stated in canon, but he has been fooled by a person with psychic abilities twice (though was able to fight it off in a way both times...it took a LONG while though).
Threadjacking/Backtagging/Etc: I enjoy all of this and welcome it.

IDK IF VERONICA MARS WOULD BE HIS BAG, but if it is, fourth wall away!

and if you're familiar with veronica mars, just don't tell her that her dad never becomes sheriff :(

Considering there has been no new television, movies, or media in the past four years in his universe, it probably wouldn't be unheard of for George's friend to have shown him the series.

Although George might not recognize her off the top of his head, maybe more a familiarity thing.

At least that's what I'll go with since nothing was stated in canon about Veronica Mars.

He is free to recognize Power Girl from DC Comics! She is somewhat used to this, so she won't freak out much unless he starts spouting her secret identity all over the place.

He is also free to recognize Kate Kane/Batwoman (gevurah), however I ask he doesn't tell her she's a fictional character even if she's also vaguely aware Batman etc. is "heard of" in other universes.

Recognition is a possibility, he's not quite the comic book geek that his bff is...but still she's probably a familiar/popular enough character for him to pick up on the name or face maybe?

Same with Batwoman (though perhaps more the Bat title than anything else). And George is a polite enough guy that he wouldn't do something like that and thanks for letting me know!

Peej is known for being the few survivors of a huge event DC did back in '85. Also having a really confusing back story. :'| You can easily check it out here and her application is on her journal. TL;DR she came from another universe that's long dead and is Superman's cousin! Sort of. Alternate universe cousin. Also famous for the boob window ahaha.

Batwoman he would probably know as the openly gay Bat since there was a huge media splash back in '06 when she was announced and in '09 she had temporarily taken over Detective Comics, famously known as Batman's comic.

I'm cool with him recognizing Jaime, though I'm not sure if he would -- his comic is kind of a blip on the radar unless George or his bff happened to be a big Blue Beetle fan (in which case he might have just been "that latino kid taking over for the real one). If he does, I'd rather not veer straight into 'you're fictional' territory, though he's free to mention the big guys (Supes, Bats, you know the drill!) as being pop culture icons.
